As a member of the Okaloosa County School Board, Brett Hinely has helped lead oversight of hundreds of millions of dollars in school construction, campus improvements, security upgrades, roofing projects, classroom additions, HVAC modernization, cafeteria renovations, and long-term infrastructure investments across the district.
These projects include new multipurpose facilities, classroom expansions, major roofing replacements, security enhancements, fine arts improvements, parking and paving upgrades, and large-scale renovations at schools throughout Okaloosa County, including Niceville High School, Ruckel Middle School, Plew Elementary School, Crestview High School, Baker School, and many others.
Brett has earned the trust of his fellow board members to help guide major construction planning and oversee projects funded through the voter-approved local-option sales tax program. Under that leadership, schools across the district have seen measurable progress through completed projects, ongoing modernization efforts, and careful long-term planning designed to serve students for decades to come.
Current projects continue to move forward at schools across the district, including major cafeteria renovations, HVAC upgrades, security improvements, roofing projects, restroom renovations, and additional campus modernization work.
For Brett, these projects are not just about buildings. They are about creating safer schools, stronger classrooms, better opportunities for students, and responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars. Here for Our Schools means making sure promises turn into results.
